The art and aesthetic for this game are absolutely beautiful! And really interesting concept for story as well.

Given the short timeframe for a jam, I think you accomplished a lot with this, and should be very very proud of your work!!

I TOTALLY understand the game is unfinished, so instead of offering feedback on things that could be improved, here's the top three things I feel could be prioritized if you decide to go back and finish/polish this game, or make another one like it in the future.

1) The fact that the beginning of the game had a lot of text/story but the rest of the game didn't have any felt a little disorienting. It's deffs important to keep something like that consistent throughout, whether it be all text or no text. But I'd go for all text. Because the text you wrote so far is really intriguing! Having the story continue throughout would also help guide the player in some areas that currently involve guessing (like when the character gets the gem but doesn't exactly know what to do with it, text could explain this) :)

2) Since the backgrounds in this game are SO beautiful, it would be neat if the in-game assets (like the floating platforms or falling obstacles) had the same amount of detail to match the environment. Like if the stone platforms in the fire world had cracks and lava! Or if the falling rocks in the clock area were turning gears! Would really take the already incredible visuals to a whole new level!

3) The areas with music could use longer and smoother loops. The short little loops, as beautiful as they were, repeated too many times for the amount of time spent in the area. It was especially noticeable in the first area because the loop faded out before restarting, hence calling attention to the ear every time it started over. This can easily be fixed by adding some more melody and getting rid of that fade.

But once again, these are all just suggestions for future edits, or games. Because like I said before, the amount you accomplished in a short time really is impressive!

Keep on making games! You have a lot of potential! :D Can't wait to see what you create next!

Best of luck in future jams!
